My art has meandered in many directions since I was very young, growing up in Chicago. I've always been a maker, and also always been curious.

I studied art at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL graduating in 1956.

Before being inducted into the U.S. Coast Guard, I built funiture and painted a bit. My nearly 4 years in the Coast Guard gave me a connection to the sea and boats.

During my 18 years in the business world, I developed an understanding of how computers work, and the ramifications of digital elements in our lives.

In 1980 I retired and relocated to Longboat Key, FL where I actively resumed my creative pursuits that included painting as well as computer programming and website creation. Also sailboat cruising.

In 2017 I moved across Sarasota Bay to the city of Sarasota and actively began sculpting small works using Apoxie resin and other materials. I chose my subjects with an eye toward emotions, current events, and whimsy.
